- ADDITIONAL CONTROLS FOR CLASS 2 and 2M LASERS
- Warning Signs: A sign is to be mounted at each entrance to the operating area that conforms to ANSI Z136.1 - 2014 (Figure 1a) or ANSI Z136.1 - 2007 (Figure 1a).
- Warning Signs: Alternate signage that meets the IEC 60825-1 or ANSI Z535, the most recent edition, can be used for the signage for all classes of lasers.
- If the laser has not been labeled by the manufacturer, attach a label on the laser with its classification and relevant warning information. Contact the EH&S Laboratory Safety Unit for assistance.
- Refer to Section VIII and Appendices 3 & 4 for assistance on control measures for various classifications of lasers.
