Chematix System Tips and Tricks

No software package is perfect. With that said, Chematix Tips and Trick are noted below.

Problem: Unexpected system functionality or errors occur when clicking the browser "back" and "forward" buttons.

Tip: This is related to how the system renders pages and saves data. Please don’t use browser buttons while navigating Chematix. Use the tabs found at the top of the pages and back buttons which are embedded in the pages.

Problem: You are using Chematix and after a period of non-activity, Chematix is not operating.

Tip: For security purposes, Chematix will time out after a period of non-activity. Be sure to log-out of Chematix if you're likely to be distracted.

Problem: Double-clicking some links in Chematix causes a user to be logged-out.

Tip: Don't double-click. Click once and allow the page to fully load. If the page does not load, then click again, once.

Problem: The department name shown in Chematix is not correct.

Tip: The departmental information in Chematix is populated using data from a combination of sources. Incorrect departmental information should be addressed to your departmental administrator or Environmental Health & Safety.
