Pest Control Unit
The Pest Control staff is responsible for preventing or controlling any type of pest problem. Using an integrated pest control management program, the goal is to limit the number of problems and reduce pesticide use by providing proactive service including the Sanitarian's services and educational programs.
Our pest technicians are on duty Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Pest complaints from any University of Rochester property should be called in to the Environmental Health and Safety Office at 275-3241. If the call goes to voice mail or is placed after hours, please leave a detailed message identifying your location, your name, a contact phone number and the nature of the complaint. Complaints of an emergency nature after hours or on the weekend should be directed to Security at ext 13 or 275-3333. Security will then contact our staff if necessary to handle these incidents.
